In short, no. Unlike some of our competitors, you’ll pay one fee, per client, every month. There are no setup or training fees, and as carers use their own smartphones, there are no contracts or additional charges to deal with.
We’ve built our app and software to be intuitive. That means that you won’t need much training to get started, and nor will your care staff. There’s a bit of work on your side to get all your clients added to the app, but how long this takes is up to you. And of course, the Birdie team are on hand to help you every step of the way, to make sure your transition is as smooth as possible.
Yes! We work with hundreds of agencies all over the country and we hear this concern a lot. We’ve tested Birdie repeatedly to make sure it’s user-friendly, and the easy to use interface is many of our clients' favourite part of Birdie.
No. Most of your carers will already have a smartphone. By providing you with just the software, we’re keeping costs down and passing the savings directly to you.
Birdie uses very little mobile data, and in fact, can even be used offline. Birdie uses about 0.6MB of data per report. That’s about the same amount of data as sending a photo through WhatsApp.
The Birdie App uses hardly any space at all, just 20MB in fact. That’s equal to about five or six photos.
The Birdie app can only be accessed by your carers using a passcode, that they set themselves. In the unfortunate event of a device being lost or stolen, you can update and remove your carers permissions, so that no data can be accessed until they replace their handset.
