Rachael Crook founded homecare provider Lifted Care in 2018, employing carers directly at above market rate. During her four years as founder, the business won multiple awards including Homecare Provider of the Year at the Homecare Awards, and was known for it's excellent team retention and quality of care. In 2022 she sold the homecare side to Grosvener, and grew her own technology platform in 2022 on a £1.3 million Innovate UK grant.

In this session she takes apart how she learned to hire for growth and stability. What she committed to paying her team, and how she built a team that stayed the course and grew with her. What carrying the growth cost her, month by month, and what she learned in the process.

She now runs Lifted, which now works with more than 750 UK care providers on recruitment, onboarding and sponsorship compliance.

Rachael Crook is the founder of Lifted, founded in 2018 as a homecare provider. Rachael is an Obama Leader, one of 36 people in Europe recognised for their contribution to social change, and sits on the Department of Health and Social Care's expert advisory group on workforce reform. In 2022 the business became a technology platform, and Lifted was sold to Grosvenor Group in 2022. It is now also an approved immigration adviser and works with more than 750 care providers on hiring, onboarding and sponsorship.
