From managing to leading: a workshop for registered managers

Build a team that holds your standard

You know what good looks like in your service - the hard part is getting your whole team to see it, own it and keep to it when you're not in the room.

This three-hour workshop is for registered managers who have the fundamentals down, and are tired of being the only person holding the line.

Lead by coach and former homecare franchise owner Alexis Neighbour, it's strictly limited to 25 places. Apply today to reserve yours.

This isn't a management course. It's a small room of registered managers working on real situations from their own teams, with practical tools you can use the following week.

Alexis spent more than 13 years as both owner and registered manager of a homecare franchise. She knows what it's like to have everything come back to you.

What we'll cover

1. Set the standard

Does everyone on your team know what good looks like? How to set clear expectations, standards and responsibilities, so people aren't left working from assumptions.

2. Hold the standard

What happens when the standard isn't met? How to raise issues early, give feedback that lands and have the harder conversations, without avoiding them or sliding into micromanagement.

3. Develop people to own the standard

How do you get your team to step up without everything coming back to you? How to delegate well, build trust, set decision-making boundaries and grow the people who could step up next.

What you'll get

Practical leadership tools and models you can use straight away

Time to work through a real situation from your own team, with coaching from Alexis

A clearer view of where your own habits help or get in the way

Breakfast and time with registered managers who understand the job

You'll leave with

A plan for one change you'll make with your team, the tools to make it, and a group of peers who are working on the same thing.

Who it's for

This is for you if you:

Are a registered manager at a homecare agency with at least 20 care recipients, with coordinators, supervisors or a deputy reporting to you

Have the basics of the role nailed and want to lead, not just manage

Find yourself holding the standard on your own

It's probably not for you if you're brand new to the role, or looking for training on CQC regulations.
