This festive season, we're reflecting on the remarkable achievements of homecare providers across the UK. Together, Birdie's 1200+ customers delivered exceptional care, raised and resolved almost 16 million alerts, and supported almost 116,000 individuals using Birdie's smart homecare technology platform in 2025.

Impact in numbers

68.3 million care visits completed

We've witnessed an astounding 68.3 million care visits delivered through the Birdie platform this year. Each visit represents a moment of connection, support, and reassurance for care recipients and their families.

Almost 16 million alerts resolved

This year saw almost 16 million alerts raised and resolved within 48 hours. Every alert resolved represents a potential emergency prevented, a care recipient protected, and a care professional feeling heard and valued.

103.5 million medication doses scheduled

Care professionals scheduled and managed over 103.5 million medication doses through Birdie – almost 20 million more than last year. Each dose represents an older adult feeling comfortable and safe, supported by dedicated care professionals.

115,832 individuals actively receiving care

Almost 116,000 individuals are actively receiving care on the Birdie platform. That's 115,832 older adults feeling more supported, seen, and secure in their daily lives.

37,500 family app users

Our family app now connects 37,500 users, providing invaluable reassurance and visibility of their loved ones' care. It truly takes a village to help everyone age with confidence, and family members are key to this interconnected network of care.

390,550 invoices processed

Our platform helped care businesses manage 390,550 invoices throughout 2025, almost 70,000 more than last year, streamlining financial operations and supporting business growth.

Co-development: building Birdie together

New for 2025, we're proud to share our co-development stats, showcasing the incredible partnership we have with our care providers:

  • 240 hours of co-development calls with Birdie partners completed
  • 25 Birdie partners involved in co-development
  • 2,384 product ideas submitted by Birdie partners

These numbers reflect our commitment to building technology with the sector, not just for it. Every hour spent in collaboration, every partner voice heard, and every feedback submitted helps us create solutions that truly meet the needs of care professionals and the people they support.

Introducing the Smarter Care Lab

This year we launched the Smarter Care Lab – our new innovation hub that brings this collaborative spirit to life. It pulls back the curtain on our product development process, showcasing the people, conversations, and partnerships behind every feature. From AI innovations to everyday product updates, the Smarter Care Lab takes you behind the scenes of how we're shaping the future of homecare together.

The Birdie team attended, spoke at, hosted and participated in social care community and industry events all across the UK. 2025 has been our busiest year yet!

  • Care Show London (April 2025) and Care Show Birmingham (October 2025)
  • UK Care Week (March 2025, Birmingham)
  • Care Roadshows across the UK – Scotland, North West, Midlands, South, North East, and Wales

Local Care Association partnerships:We partnered with 16 Local Care Associations across England and Scotland, connecting with over 1,000 care providers at regional conferences from Surrey to Scotland, Essex to Bradford.

Birdie-hosted events:

  • Executive Wing dinners– Intimate gatherings for care leaders.
  • Winning private clients series – Regional events in Croydon, Leicester, Essex, and Bristol.
  • Stress-free CQC events  – Supporting providers through inspections.

Standing with the sector:

We stood shoulder-to-shoulder with care providers at two Providers Unite marches, joining thousands calling for sustainable funding and recognition of social care. The message from providers was clear: this is about survival. We're proud to support the fight for a care system that works for everyone.
